Born in Lisbon, Portugal, November 4th 1948.
Studied Painting and Architecture at Escola Superior de Belas Artes in Lisbon, from 1967 through 1974.


Teacher at the CCA Center for Contemporary Art, Kitakyushu, Japan in 1997.
Teacher at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München, Germany in 1998/1999.
Teacher in a Workshop at Fundación Marcelino Botín, Santander, Spain in 2006.
Teacher in Catedra Juan Gris, at Facultad de Bellas Artes - Universidade Cumplutense de Madrid in 2007.


Prizes:

1994 - Agraciado com a condecoração Oficial da Ordem Militar de Sant'Iago da Espada
1997 - Medalha de Prata de Mérito Municipal, Sintra
2009 - Regione Lazio - Premio Internazionale "Il Lazio" tra Europa e Mediterraneo - IV Edizione 2009
